A Wee While
The sack of parcels
Beneath the tree
Are children's faces
Filled with glee?
No, Santa's stopped
To take a pee.
It's cold, he's old, so
If you're lucky
He might just reach you
In time for tea
All Things Come
It's not quite as cruel as Patrick's earlier poem Christmas May Be Canelled, but neither poem paints Santa Claus in a very good light.
