Christmas Munch

As you munch your turkey
With mountains of vegetables,
Think of those poor children
Less fortunate than yourselves.

No, not starving Africans,
But children whose parents
Are ardent vegetarians

Sprout surprise with brussels

About the Poem

I can never understand why the least appealing meal - turkey and all the trimmings - is served on the highest feast day of the year. But it could be worse.
